UK daily COVID-19 cases drop by 10,000! Why the lockdown...?

The United Kingdom has recorded a 10,000 case drop in daily COVID-19 infections following the announcement of a national lockdown.

More than 52,500 cased were reported in the past 24 hours as the county's death toll increased by 1,162.

This comes as 1.2 million people have already received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine with the rollout of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine also underway across the country.
